Solving problems

Helping people

This is why we do what we do:

Love Makes The World

Go Round

May 2020

Having a partner who snores louder than anyone you know, is obsessed about food, slobbers, scratches the paint off doors, rips off the molding and destroys door jams in the house when I leave, and (next to me) silently passes gas in front of guests, could be the closest thing to heaven I'll ever know.

Whether at work, the park, home, in the car, traveling and (his favorite) On The Road in an RV or the tow truck, Prince is always there for me. He is always in the game, always ready to go (although is in bed by 9p if nothing is going on).

This is my testimonial to Prince. He is what makes the day special, every day.

Being Mobile

December 2019

I'm giving a Shout-Out to RV Doctor George, our sister company, who does the job day after the day...rain or shine.

I received a call from Mary over in Sonoma County, she had a water line leak causing all kinds of issues. She is a valued return customer and I wanted to help her out asap. However, she was about 2 hours away. Mary lives in her  1987 Bounder motorhome, so it is important that she find someone to trust and who is affordable to do the work quickly and correctly.

Fortunately our go-to guy, RJ, lives about 1/3 of the way closer to Mary. So, he hopped over on his day off and fixed her leak, replacing a t-connector that had failed.

After RJ quickly and properly fixed the leak, Mary was nice enough to relay this information to me:

"You guys are great - I've been dealing with Dr George for three years now and this is my second rig and there's not really many people other than your outfit that I can trust to fix things."

"I always call you guys first. No one here seems to know what they're doing with an older rig."

"Up here, at most repair places, the rig has to be a 2000 or newer model."

"Anytime I have a problem the first response is that I should sell it. I ask them if they would 'sell their house because their bathroom has a leak.'"

We hear ya Mary, what a perfect reply. Thank you for the compliments. Yes, we earn our customers one at a time, and it is because we go the extra step, work on older units, understand the value of a Used RV (Used Trailers:Overlooked Pots of Gold), offer a mobile service, travel farther than most mobile services and say YES...not NO.

Thank you again Mary, we look forward to your or our next visit :))

Whatever It Takes

July 2019

Wade answered an ad I ran online giving away a number of free trailers. Most were pretty rough but a few had life remaining, enough so that someone could fix a little and use as a home or sell and make some money; Wade did both.

Wade is an amazing man with a remarkable positive outlook on life, considering all he has been through.

He had recently lost his home, his cars, boats and tools burned in storage and lost two family members. He has leg problems from sleeping in the front seat of his car. Yet, he still works harder and smiles far more than anyone I know.

Wade is a man who can make things happen, he helps people stranded or in need of help with no questions asked. He is ingenious and very resourceful, whether he is helping others, sometimes with no tools and no rest or food. He can push limits that I have never seen.

I gave him a chance to work with me after he told me,"If you need a mechanic, body man, yard clean-up.....I'm available. I'm dependable, reliable and get the job done, baby!!" Wade stated he "would work for stuff, too."

I saw just how good he was at that, working for stuff. Within one week, he had been given a minivan. It did not run. He was able to diagnose correctly, what others thought was a complete loss, quickly fixing it and then turned it into a truck.....adding a 5th wheel hitch, required to remove 5th wheel trailers form my yard and for tow jobs on the side. Amazing!!

Wade appreciates the work I give him, and I sincerely appreciate all he dose.

Christmas Is Coming This Year!!

December, 2018

Between the never-ending fires, the affordable housing crisis and increasing daily life emergencies that are plaguing California residents, used trailers have become a very sought after commodity.

HELLO!!! That is what I preach every day!

Mary and Corey were the perfect recipients for this huge 5th Wheel Toy Hauler. This unit will provide much needed extra bedroom space where normally it's used for vehicle transport.

Living space is prime out here in the West and this unit, at 36 feet and at a very discounted price, is most appreciated.

Here is their story, in their words, for why they got the trailer:

"A couple of our friend's and their two teenage kids were evicted from their home because they let a homeless man use their shower but unbeknownst to them he was doing something completely different and flipped their world upside down. An explosion out the back wall of our complex caused mayhem for not only Sharon and Doug and their kids but multiple families as well. February 2018 until today they have been homeless, living in their car, couch surfing anywhere they could find, and even sleeping on the lawn at the church or in our local park. Their youngest son was about to start school in August so my fiance and I took him in and he has been with us for 5 months.

Unfortunately our landlord made it clear that he had only until the 1st of January 2019 to find somewhere else to go and that is when we began our search for their temporary home until they can get back on their feet. We finally found the perfect 5th wheel with all the amenities that would keep them comfortable and warm during these winter months and many more to come.

We are so happy and fortunate to be able to give them this amazing gift only 2 days before Christmas. They had no idea what we had planned for them but thankfully they had another amazing friend that gave them a place on her property to put the trailer. I have a video of the unveiling as well. Thank you so much for the trailer. This meant so much to them and she broke down in tears she was so happy."

I am sure the video will be a tearjerker.

Mary told me that when the displaced family gets permanent housing she and Corey will have a nice place for them to enjoy. She was very excited, saying, "We just bought our first home!"

Trailer Code thanks Mary and Corey for being an amazing friend and helping some of the thousands who are homeless for the Holidays.

Living In A Van For 2 Years

September, 2018

Earlier this year Trailer Code assisted someone affected by the affordable housing crisis in the Bay Area.

His name was Freddie, he had been living in a van for the past two years located in the parking lot of his employer, in Oakland, Ca.

Freddie shared with Trailer Code a very compelling story and we were happy to assist Freddie in his journey.

Instead of me telling you this wonderful story watch the video at the top of this page.
